O carro limpo de sal, comecei a retocar a pintura. O método do sal dá bons resultados mas um pouco aleatórios. Não faz sentido que a pintura azul tenha resistido nas duas portas em continuidade, por exemplo. Terei de laboriosamente pintar corrosão para separar essa continuidade pouco realista. Para a próxima terei de usar os produtos da AK Interactive. É um processo mais lento e delicado, mas parece-me que se obtém maior controlo sobre os efeitos.  

A pintura dos cromados à mão livre sem máscara não ficou grande coisa, mas como vou usar ferrugem, poderei disfarçar a maior parte dos defeitos.

After cleaning the salt it was time to start retouching the paint. The salt method is great but the results are little random. For instance, makes no sense to see the blue paint not being interrupted by a streak of rust along the doors. Next time I’ll use AK-Interactive products. It is a slower and more delicate process but seems to give better control on the work.

The chromed parts were painted free-hand and didn’t come out well. Fortunately I’ll place some rust in those areas, so I will be able to disguise the bad paint job.

Não vou aplicar a maçaneta da mala do carro, fiz uma máscara e pintei com azul mas escuro o sítio onde esteve. Está mais escura essa parte porque não sofreu os efeitos do tempo. Abri dois furos para os parafusos que seguravam a maçaneta.

I’m not going to use the trunk handle, so I painted a darker tone of blue simulating an area protected until recently form the weather. I drilled two tiny holes for the screws.

Tive pouca sorte com os pneus que têm muita rebarba que não consegui remover. Ver foto.

I had bad luck with too much flash on the tires I couldn’t remove. Look at the photo.

O interior foi pintado seguindo fotos de referencia, mas exagerei um pouco nos contrastes. Por uma lado porque desejo representar uns bancos muito porcos, por outro, para se poder ver através dos vidros sujos.

The interior was painted following photo references, but on purpose with exagereted tones. They are supose to represent  really dirt seats and thru the dusty windows you’ll hardly see them.

Adicionei um cinzeiro nas costas do banco da frente. Não consgui entender se era um ao centro ou um para cada passageiro. Duvido que se consiga ver

I added na ashtray on the back of the fornt seat. I couldn’t figure out if it was one in the center or two, one per each passenger in the back. Anyhow, I doubt it will be noticeable.
