A vedação / the fence
As referencias que tenho não me permitem saber as dimensões
exactas das pranchas, escolhi o mais aproximado nas tiras de Evergreen. A textura foi feita com a lâmina de um
serrote, as rebarbas lixadas para ficar apenas os veios da “madeira”. Pintura
base com aerógrafo e depois avivada prancha a prancha com lápis de cor.
From the
references I had I couldn’t get the right measures. I just used evergreen
strips that looked right. The texturing was done with a saw blade and sanding
to smooth the grooves.
Airbrushed
a base coat and then with colour pencils I painted each board.
Não gosto do resultado final, está muito artificial. Terei
de esperar até à montagem final para fazer correcções.
I look at
the end result and feel it too fake. I’ll wait for the final assembly to make
the necessary corrections.
A cerejeira
O kit de flores da Tasca trás uma árvore em arame. Precisava
de uma árvore mais alta que passasse bem acima do carro, decidi fazer uma de
raiz com arames de vários diâmetros. 5 arames de 1mm formam a estrutura base,
depois alguns troços de arame de uns 0.6mm e fio de cobre enrolado fizeram o
resto. Muita solda e a árvore adquiriu a sua forma.
Pintei a árvore de branco para melhor ver as imperfeições. Estas
forma corrigidas com betume Tamiya diluído em cola da mesma marca.
Tive um revés com a pintura da base. Provavelmente atinta ainda
não estava totalemtne seca quando apliquei a máscara, arranquei alguma tinta.
Painting the
tree in white helped me to check flaws.
Diluted Tamiya putty with Tamiya glue and brushed it on the trunk and
branches.
I had a
setback with the painting of the base. I’m afraid I didn’t let it dry completely
before masking. It peeled.
